Dear Readers,
Today is a terrific Tuesday! Make the most of it to turn it into a triumphant Tuesday!
In today's blog post I will be including another way to help you find inspiration called, " Ekphrastic poetry". Ekphrastic is poetry that responds to visual art (paintings, sculptures, photography). The most common type of ekphrastic poetry is poetry that is inspired from photographs. When I don't have any inspiration, probably the first thing I do is look at some photographs or paintings, then write about them. Sometimes I describe what is going on in the painting, and other times I continue the story or write about something that happened before. You can even write about what is happening outside of the picture or art piece.
Day Twenty Two's Progress:
Today I started writing some small stanzas by using the list of topics I had created yesterday. I haven't chosen what order I want them to be in yet, but I wrote a few ideas for the order of the stanzas. I also thought about some more topics for the stanzas and I played a little bit with the composition of the poem on the page. After reading my topics and the few stanzas I have written, I think that this week's poem will be quite short. I'm not absolutely sure that I want it that way though. I guess I will see what happens.
Hope you found today's suggestions useful!
