Presenting the Case

Writer's picture: Golden InkGolden Ink

Dear Readers,

As always, today is the day to share this week’s poems with you all!

Day Forty Eight's Progress:

Today I finished both first drafts of the poems. I just wrote down everything that came to me. I didn't make any edits yet. There are somethings I already know that I want to change. For some reason, I still can't decide which poem I want to keep working on. Maybe I will keep both, but, I think that I will work on them a little more before making a decision. Hope you enjoy reading them!

A Never Ending Loop

Picking and placing,

Picking and placing,

Picking and placing

Each crystal

At its designated spot.

Picking and placing,

line after line,

Crystal after crystal.

No time for breaks,

No room for mistakes.

One crystal out of line

And the whole piece,

Ruined.

One odd mistake,

And your world

Is shaken.

I thought,

you are supposed to learn

from your mistakes.

Maybe it's not acceptable anymore—

Daily Thoughts

Scattered soldiers

Waiting for their

Orders.

Bird's eye view—

they resemble nothing,

no clarity can be found yet.

Still learning their purpose,

Running around

try[ing] to see the bigger picture.

They travel through the nooks

And crannies of my brain.

Either they die in battle,

Or take over with too much power.

Surrender,

Or vanquish,

Always unpredictable.

You never know

If an idea is good or bad,

But,

you always know when it hits you—

right in the eyes,

the windows to your soul.

Do you have any feedback for me?
