Dear Readers,

Happy Wednesday! You might be wondering why I would call this blog post "Ghastly Grim". Well, here is the answer; as you all know, Wednesday's blog posts include a poem that I am currently working on, so I named today's blog post the name of the poem I will be including.

Day Three's Progress:

I thought a lot about wether or not I should write this week's poem in iambic pentameter or if I should write it in free verse. In the end, I chose to write it in free verse but I will still definitely play around with iambic pentameter. I personally think that I did a good job portraying the message that I wanted to in this piece. One thing I think that I should improve on in this poem is the fact that sometimes I use a bit too many adjectives. I hope you guys enjoy it! If you guys have any feedback or suggestions for me, which it would be nice to receive, you guys can write it in the comment's section or just chat it to me. I want to make this poem a little longer but so far here is what I have written:

(Just to clarify, it is not done yet, it is still a work in progress)

Ghastly Grim

The raven’s calls reverberate

Against the vast blue wall.

Their claws as clear as ash

disintegrates the leaves that rest

below the rustling breeze.

Their cries of solemn despair,

crawl up the irritated stairs

Silently, one by one, the ravens fly

To nest on the faraway trees

Second after second,

each raven transforms into loud bells

whos echos sound no better Than a rat

screeching for help.

Hope you enjoyed today's blog! Where are you guys so far in the challenge? I would love to know!
