Dear Readers,
Most people think of today as the day to remember all the things that you didn't get done on Monday, and then push them off until Wednesday. Why not change this a little bit and get things done today too?
Today I want to write about form and structure. When I lack inspiration and have tried every other suggestion, I typically resort to this one. I don't write much with a specific form or structure, but sometimes, setting restrictions allows you to think better, since you don't have as much freedom. Of course, you can always disregard the restrictions that you set for yourself, but I find them very helpful. Most of the time, these restrictions guide me in finding inspiration. On the cover page of this blog post, there is a poem about a panda that looks like a panda. I also think that it looks like a face at spme different angles. Let me know what you see; a face, or a panda?
Day Fifty Seven's Progress:
Today I thought hard about what I want to write about. I have so many ideas but when I begin writing, it seems as though I have nothing to write about. One of my ideas is to write about a postman, but I don't know the sub topics that should be included in the poem. What about a postman? I also had the idea to write about the terrible California fires, but it is kind of hard for me to write about them for some reason. Then, I had the idea of reading the other poems that I have written this summer. Rereading them will be beneficial for two reasons, one, I will be able to edit them again if I choose to do so, and two, I can see if I get some inspiration from my poems. Maybe I can write a response poem to one of them or something else like that.
Do you guys have any suggestions for me?
