A Sac of Confidence

Dear Readers,

Today is Wednesday! The day to share my poem with you all.

Day Forty Three's Progress:

Today I finished the first draft of the poem. I'm still not sure exactly if I like the poem. I feel like the stanzas don't go very well together. Let me know if you have any feedback for me. I think that I will keep working on it and if I still don't like it, I will wait a few days and come back to it. The phrasings also need to be edited so I will work on that on Thursday and Friday. Here is the poem:

A sac of Confidence

He sat there —

Sitting on a bench

With a glass half empty,

With his hand on his chin

He sat there thinking —

Or rather,

People watching.

He sat there pondering

Where is my self-esteem,

Why did it not ask for permission

Before going off on vacation?

He thought --

Confidence needs balance.

Confidence set me going like lottery

The chances are set to never --

But I never know,

There are always those that are lucky --

The ones who roam on the sidewalks,

Carrying a sac full of self-esteem,

Until it reeks of overconfidence.

Hope you liked it !
